Speaker enclosure

The 44mm thick MDF construction and internal bracing eliminate resonances and distortions that could affect sound quality. The rounded front edges reduce diffraction, improving frequency response linearity and sound accuracy. Bitumen damping material is used to reduce unwanted resonances, while high-quality acoustic foam and polyester absorb reflections and standing waves inside the enclosure.

PASSIVE-RADIATOR

The passive radiator in the RSB-6 speakers delivers exceptional bass with a deep frequency extension reaching below 34Hz. This design allows the enclosure to behave as both partially sealed and ported, contributing to outstanding bass accuracy and depth. The passive radiator features a paper diaphragm, which enhances natural sound characteristics and responsiveness.

Internal damping

The internal damping of the RSB-6 speakers is carefully engineered using a combination of polyester, bitumen, and 7 cm thick acoustic foam. Each material plays a vital role in optimizing the acoustic performance of the enclosure.

Tweeter

The RSB-6 is equipped with a silk dome tweeter that delivers natural and detailed sound without harshness or aggressive brightness. A ferrite magnet and a large resonant chamber allow the tweeter to operate from as low as 1200Hz, providing a wide sound dispersion up to 20kHz. This contributes to a realistic and immersive listening experience.

Midrange driver

The mid-bass driver from the Danish brand SB Acoustics features a mineral-filled polypropylene cone, offering high rigidity and low weight. This ensures a fast and accurate response across bass and midrange frequencies. A fiberglass coil former and a robust driver basket provide excellent structural stability and contribute to clean, distortion-free sound reproduction.

Crossover

The crossover in the RSB-6 speakers is built using premium components from renowned brands such as Jantzen and Mundorf. It features Jantzen Cross-Cap capacitors, Super Z-Cap bypass capacitors, air-core inductors, and Mundorf M-Resist Supreme resistors. These components ensure low thermal dependency and stable performance over extended listening sessions, delivering precise signal handling and consistent sound quality.

Cabling

The RSB-6 infrastructure focuses not only on high-quality drivers and crossovers but also on the use of premium OFC cables from Jantzen. These cables feature a cross-section of 2 x 2.5 mm² and are twisted to reduce noise. They are soldered with high-quality, silver-rich solder, ensuring clean signal transmission without any interference.
